Speaking Out and Night

Elie Wiesel, a holocaust survivor, talks about speaking out after winning a Nobel Peace Prize. He tells his audience “Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim” (Weisel). In this quote he explains how no one spoke against the holocaust when it was occurring, and that if someone would have said something, many of the lost lives would have been saved. Speaking out also goes with orphans in foster care. Many people are well aware of orphans but do not speak out about the abuse that goes on in foster care houses or about the orphans being neglected. If people would speak out about unprivileged orphans then many wouldn't be going through the trauma that they are now. Speaking out will help make the situation become widely known and will help those that are in trouble.
